A Deloitte 2026 P&C analytics survey found that carriers deploying advanced AI in workers comp claims delivered 12 to 19% lower total claim costs and 35 to 50% faster cycle times. Those results do not yet appear in NCCI industry aggregates because AI adoption is clustered inside a small group of large carriers.
The gap between AI-deploying carriers and the industry median is the real story of 2026. Frequency continues its long slow decline, but the carriers moving fastest on AI-assisted intake and triage are pulling ahead of that curve while everyone else looks at the same NCCI charts.
Atlas is building along the same line. Faster first notice, structured intake, and a nurse in the loop on hour one are where cost curves bend, and they are also where AI earns its keep without replacing clinical judgment.
