The New South Wales Return to Work Roadmap 2026-28 quantifies what US case managers see every week. After 20 days away from work, the probability of returning drops to 70%. By day 45, it falls to 50%. Time is not neutral in claim recovery.
The roadmap also flags the harder gap: 13-week RTW rates for psychological injuries sit around 40%, less than half the rate for physical claims. Programs that treat behavioral overlays as a separate track from case management fall further behind that curve every quarter.
Atlas builds nurse case management as one arc from intake through return to full duty, with behavioral risk surfaced early rather than late. Work itself remains the strongest rehabilitation available for most claims.
