1. Our Commitment to Accessibility
Atlas Managed Care is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to atlasmanagedcare.com and the services we deliver through it.
We believe injured workers, their families, providers, employers, and claims administrators, including those who rely on assistive technology, should be able to use our website and our service lines without barriers.
2. Conformance Status
atlasmanagedcare.com is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the technical standard referenced by:
- The Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA") as interpreted by the U.S. Department of Justice.
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.
- California Government Code § 11135 and California Government Code § 7405.
- The Unruh Civil Rights Act, California Civil Code § 51.
Current self-assessed status: partially conformant. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address known issues (Section 5) and improve overall conformance.
3. Accessibility Features Already in Place
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy and landmark regions for screen-reader navigation.
- Descriptive alt text on all informational images.
- Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements, including the main navigation menu.
- Color contrast designed to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 Level AA minimums (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
- Responsive layout that reflows to mobile, tablet, and zoom levels up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- ARIA labels on icon-only controls (including social-media icons in the header).
- Phone and email links rendered as click-to-call and mailto links for users of assistive devices.
- Plain-language policy pages with consistent layout across Privacy, Terms, SMS Consent, HIPAA, and Grievance pages.

5. Known Limitations
We are aware of the following limitations and are actively working to address them:
- Some third-party embedded content (for example, externally hosted videos or social-media widgets) may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We work with vendors to remediate when possible and provide accessible alternatives when not.
- PDF documents posted on the site may not all have full accessibility tags. We are auditing legacy PDFs and either remediating them or providing accessible HTML alternatives.
- The atlasmanagedcare.com site is currently English-only; Spanish-language pages are on the roadmap. In the meantime, Spanish-speaking users can reach our Spanish-language Triage line at 1-855-222-2333 for live assistance.
6. Assessment and Improvement
Atlas conducts ongoing accessibility review through a combination of:
- Automated accessibility scanning during deployment.
- Manual keyboard and screen-reader testing on every new or materially changed page.
- User feedback received through our contact channels and the complaint process.
- Periodic third-party accessibility audit at least every 24 months.
7. Report an Accessibility Barrier or Request an Accommodation
If you experience any difficulty using atlasmanagedcare.com, need an alternative format, or wish to file an accessibility complaint, contact us. We aim to respond to accessibility requests within five (5) business days.
